Digital Asset

Any asset that exists in digital form and has value, including cryptocurrencies, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and tokenised real-world assets.

The term digital asset spans a broad spectrum: fungible cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, unique tokens like NFTs, and increasingly, tokenised versions of real-world assets such as property, equities, or commodities. Blockchain technology gives digital assets verifiable scarcity and provable ownership — properties that were impossible for purely digital items before. As tokenisation matures, a growing share of global value is expected to be represented and traded as digital assets.
